Attempted Fraud in Andover

In another possible attempted fraud, a couple entered a shop in Andover, Hampshire at the start of March and attempted to buy a gold chain. The female was very interested in the shops CCTV, and movements of staff.
The credit card the male gave was declined, at which point he said he would have to swipe the card as it was his “business account”, and then attempted to do so.
The staff believed it could be a fraudulent transaction and prevented him from swiping the card. This male is of very similar appearance to a male who attempted an identical scam in St Helens, Merseyside in June of last year.
It is believed that the male is using stolen credit cards, and possibly another card that collects date from PDQ machines.
