Off Duty Police Officer Foils Robbery

AN off duty police officer helped foil a robbery at a jewellers in Bedford town centre yesterday.

One man with an iron bar entered the Sena Jewellers in Church Arcade at around 1.15pm  (Wednesday, January 7) and attacked a 60-year-old man, causing him injuries, while another man waited outside. An off-duty police officer from Bedfordshire Police was in town at the time and saw the robbery take place. They intervened and disarmed one man and took him into custody. The second man fled the scene.

Police are continuing to search for the man and best online casino are appealing for anyone who saw the incident or a man acting suspiciously or leaving the arcade between 1.15pm and 1.30pm yesterday.
